Hey...I'm Keith.

The short

I like to create cool stuff.

I am a producer in Los Angeles, CA with a passion for bringing fresh and fantastic ideas to life.

With 10+ years of professional experience, I have had the amazing privilege to develop various content, stories, and experiences for traditional and non-traditional formats. Video walls, projection-mapped surfaces, virtual reality, and planetariums are just some of the many platforms I create things for.

You name it...
I can build it (unless it's something from IKEA).

The long

Growing up, my favorite movie to watch was Back to the Future. I aspired to be an inventor like Doc Brown, but I just wasn't sure of what I could actually...invent. That was until my 13th birthday when I purchased my first camcorder, a Sony Digital 8 Handycam. I discovered I had a knack for using technology, learning new softwares, and creating digital stories. In my own way, I started to become that inventor I wished to be.

Flash forward to 2011 when I started my career, two months after graduating from college. I had accepted a job in the Audio/Visual department at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. It was there that I had the unique privilege to work with a variety of new technologies used in exhibits throughout the facility, including video walls, projection-mapping systems, virtual reality (Oculus DK at the time), touch screens, and more. I learned how these platforms were operated and maintained, as well as how to create content for them. After a couple of years, I was promoted to a producer position, where I developed experiences for these exhibitions full-time. I learned softwares such as Unity, for developing VR and interactive content, and Autodesk Maya, for creating 3D animations to be projected onto NOAA's Science on a Sphere.

In 2017, I accepted a producer position at Caltech where I currently still work today. I had gone from creating experiences about the ocean to now creating experiences about space. During my first few years, I was given the chance to work on a variety of extraordinary projects. These included creating official NASA videos and artwork that were featured on NASA's homepage, producing cutting-edge animations for use in planetariums, and leading development on an official NASA VR application (available via the Steam and Meta stores).

Jumping to now (2023), I am still working on a variety of awesome and unique projects. My work is regularly seen in NASA publications and is often promoted through various news channels including The Washington Journal, Forbes, and CNN. My work has also been showcased prominently on the front page of The New York Times and on the cover of Nature Journal.

I have also been promoted to a senior producer which has allowed me to exhibit my leadership abilities within the Caltech / NASA community. On the daily, I manage a variety of projects, direct and mentor interns and occasional employees, and serve as a liaison between clients, scientists, and NASA executives to ensure that the best possible product can be achieved.

Throughout my career, I have also worked as a freelancer. I have created shows for Discovery Cube, worked on visual effects for ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and produced content for XR firms. I have also created trailers for Meta Quest's official store and YouTube platforms, as well as the official trailer for A Quiet Place II: The VR Experience.

My passion for inventing creative content has only grown over time, much like the digital landscape we co-exist with. The future of multimedia is exciting and I feel very fortunate to be a part of it. I love a creative challenge and am always open to new opportunities.
